Upcoming Events, Classes, and Experiences at Unity

Sunday, February 15 | 11:30am

What if writing could help you see your story differently—and step forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust?

Write Yourself Right is a guided writing workshop designed to help you gently revisit and reframe your memories, shift old narratives, and reconnect with your inner strength. Through a supportive, structured writing process, you’ll be invited to explore a past experience with compassion and intention—claiming a more empowered version of yourself in the process.

Led by Lillian Flowers, this workshop offers a safe, reflective space where insight, creativity, and personal growth can unfold naturally. No prior writing experience is needed—just a willingness to show up and explore what wants to be written.

Sunday, February 22, at 11:30am

Join us for a bold, expressive, and hands-on art experience inspired by the life and legacy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, an artist who used his voice, symbols, and raw creativity to challenge systems, tell stories of identity, and reclaim space through art. His work reminds us that art can be powerful, personal, and unapologetically human.

What You’ll Create

In this workshop, you’ll transform a sports coat or meaningful piece of clothing into wearable art, drawing inspiration from Basquiat’s fearless use of color, words, and symbolism. Together, we’ll explore self-expression, storytelling, and the courage to be seen, while honoring Black creativity and cultural impact. No art experience is needed, just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to create from the heart.
