    Do you marvel at your heart pumping without your direction or your blood flowing without scheduling? Most of us do not celebrate our bodies; instead, we are in some kind of constant "correction mode" regarding what we believe is "good or bad"  about our phenomenal Earth suits.

    Join us for a Soul Shop

    Make Space for Grace is a soul shop that offers somatic support and sensory guidance leading to gentle and compassionate thoughts and actions toward your body. The result is a greater sense of wholeness and reverence for your magnificent, divinely-guided body temple, at every age and every stage on Sunday, August 23, at 11:30am.

    The Joy Lab: Come Together to Create, Connect & Grow

      Sunday, August 30 | 11:30am-1:00pm

      Join us for the launch of The Joy Lab, a new intergenerational series at Unity of Oak Park where people of all ages gather to explore creativity, build meaningful connections, and grow together.

      Each session features a unique theme experienced through art, storytelling, mindfulness, and creative expression, offering simple practices you can carry into everyday life.

      August Session: Treasures of the Heart

      Slow down, share stories, and create meaningful keepsakes while discovering simple rituals that nurture connection and belonging. Families will leave with beautiful keepsakes and heartfelt traditions—a living reminder of the love, hope, and belonging they share. Whether you come on your own, with family, or with friends, you'll find a welcoming space to create, connect, and discover joy across generations.

        The Power of Manifestation

        Dear Friends, Last week, I shared how three young children moved the leftover mulch from a dead tree into the gardens and grounds of our spiritual community.  It was a beautiful reminder that life continues to evolve, and that even what appears finished can still nourish something new.  It also showed us how service grows when each generation finds its own way to participate.

        Why does this matter? Because what we return to again, and again, begins to shape how we see, how we respond, and what we believe is possible. As Emilie Cady, writes in her book Lessons in Truth, “God as infinite wisdom lies within every human being, only waiting to be led forth in manifestation.”  

        Join us this Sunday as we explore the Power of Manifestation.  Don’t forget our Birthday Bash this Friday!  Wear something inspired by your favorite era, bring your friends, good vibes, and celebrate our July birthdays as we jam with the Soul Popular Band Concert.

        YOUTH EDUCATION UPDATE


        Youth Education, EVERY SUNDAY at 10am

        Youth Ed, led by Chris Manvel, meets every Sunday morning during service in the Chapel. Our program offers spirit-centered guidance that helps children and youth recognize and embrace their oneness with God, one another, and the fullness of life. Through storytelling, hands-on crafts, mindful presence, service projects, and teachings from the Bible and other wisdom traditions, we create a nurturing space for spiritual growth, connection, and discovery.

        Join us as we make meals for community members at Housing Forward's Interem Housing. We will meet in the lower level this Sunday, at 11:30am. Meal Making takes place every First Sunday of the month after service. Sign up.
