Call for All Singers: Join the Unity of Oak Park Choir

Love to sing? The Unity of Oak Park Choir is gathering for a new season with Choir Director Daina Fischer! Rehearsals are Thursdays, 6:45–8 p.m. at Unity of Oak Park as we prepare for our December 14 holiday performance — all voices and experience levels are welcome!

Daina is a Lithuanian-American dramatic soprano based in Chicago with extensive experience performing throughout the Midwest and internationally. She enjoys singing opera, musical theater, jazz, and a cappella music, as well as directing and performing in choirs. 


She’s the co-founder of The Peppermint Patties, a vintage vocal trio inspired by the Andrews Sisters and Golden Age Music Theater. The Patties are one of the most sought-after vocal groups in the Chicagoland area for private events and produce original cabaret shows! Alongside her love of performing, Daina has spent over twelve years teaching voice. She currently serves as a voice coach, instructor, and music director at Ovation Theater Academy for the Performing Arts in Oak Park, where she specializes in nurturing young singers and providing gender-affirming voice care. When he’s not creating new music or touring, Juan Lorenz brings his musical gifts and leadership to Unity’s platform — curating local talent and sharing uplifting music that spreads Unity’s message of love, creativity, and connection with our Oak Park and online communities.
